The Admissions Process
Ready for all our new & returning students!
The first step is to contact the school and make arrangements to attend one of our monthly Visitor Days. At this meeting, prospective parents tour our facility, meet us and learn more about how The New School works. Time is allowed for general Q&A with our director and for a private discussion regarding individual children and families. Parents are able to peek in on classes in progress, and may be able to speak with the teachers or make arrangements to do so at another time. Visitor Days are usually held on a Wednesday and you can expect your visit to take up a full morning. Both parents should plan to visit. You may also wish to plan on attending our next Graduate Night
After attending a Visitor Day and discussing their children with us, interested parents then make arrangements for each child to visit the school. For prospective kindergarteners, visits are usually planned for the late spring. The child’s visit is generally planned for 3 consecutive full school days, during which time the child becomes a part of the class. This little “taste” of New School life goes a long way toward preparing everyone!
Parents then continue their dialogue with the school, leading to registration and admission.
